Every fossil, every observation in biology points to evolution. There is nothing that goes against it or points to a different way to scientifically explain modern diversity. There is not one fossil or one piece of DNA that does NOT point to evolution. It would be hard NOT to see the concrete evidence, and only those blinded by faith can do this.

Evolution is 100% world-wide accepted fact, including the evolution of man.

There is ZERO evidence for a higher being causing anything. This is why people who are religious need faith, you can't see or study the actions of a deity, by definition. Evolution has ZERO faith and ALL evidence.

Scientists (real ones) have been studying and supporting evolution for over 150 years, and still nothing has pointed to creationism. There is clear links and transitional forms between everything in the fossil record to the Class-Family level, if not Genus-Species level. And this includes humans, which there are several 'missing links' which are well described and studied, people just choose to ignore this. Sure, there are still things we don't know, but that's why science is not stagnent and dead. We learn more every day, that's what happens when you keep an open mind and follow the scientific method.

There are some areas of evolution in which all of the pieces have not been found in the fossil record, but there is no counter theory that has even ONE piece of evidence that can not easily be explained by evolution.

Let me turn the question around, if Creationism was correct and science could definitively prove Creationism (and thus the existence of God), why would they not? That would be the greatest scientific discovery in the history of the world. No one would pass that up to maintain the 'status quo'. There is no conspiracy to hide creation evidence. Anyone who knows real scientists knows they are glory-mongers first. They love to prove others wrong to enhance their own standing. And if any scientist could prove Creation/God, it would've been done a long time ago.

Go to a museum, take a class in biology, go to reputable sites on the Internet (like AAAS: http://www.aaas.org/news/press_room/evolution or http://www.talkorigins.org ) and find out for yourself.

There are two answers to that question:
1) Randomness is not science fiction.
2) Evolution is not just "random chance."

Natural selection (which is the process that we believe drives evolution) has a random component, and a non-random component.

The random component is normal 'variation' ... the fact that not all individuals are identical. When your parents got together, there was an astronomically huge number of genetic combinations they could produce ... and yet they produced you. So there was a huge amount randomness in the fact that you are here, but that doesn't mean that anything supernatural had to occur to produce you.

So if you can understand the random (and yet fully natural) component in your birth, that is the same random component involved in evolution.

The non-random component is the 'selection' part. Some individuals have traits that make them slightly better adapted to their environment than others. They will go on to produce more offspring, and thus pass on those very traits. Nothing random about that at all.

First, there is no "random chance" according to the laws of the universe. We describe things as chance if we don't know all of the variables. For instance, it's not "by chance" that an alcoholic dies from liver damage. In the past, before we knew what may cause liver damage, people would have said this person died by "random chance."

Also, a fish turning into a big mammoth (sp) would take only a half billion years or so. If you don't want to wait that long, you'll have to accept having evolution of species into other species (fruit flies, plants, etc) because that is something we can see in our timeline. Anyone can easily see evolution within the species (for example: dog breeds). If you want to see evolution above the genus, family, AND phylum then I'd say you'll be waiting for awhile.

Evolution is a fact (not the whole theory). Random beneficial mutations have been demonstrated in the laboratory. Natural selection is the process by which the favorable mutations remain and the unfavorable mutations fade into obscurity.

Here another example of a random process that is fact. Take two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. Place them in a chamber with a nickel catalyst. Water will form as random oxygen molecules combine with random hydrogen atoms on the surface of the catalyst. Despite the fact that there are no preassigned molecular interactions, the reaction will run almost completely to water.

The Simplest Example of Evolution The process of evolution acts on an E. coli cell by creating a mutation in the DNA. It is not uncommon for the DNA strand in an E. coli bacterium to get corrupted. An X-ray, a cosmic ray or a stray chemical reaction can change or damage the DNA strand. In most cases, a particular E. coli cell with mutated DNA will either die, fix the damage in the strand or fail to reproduce. In other words, most mutations go nowhere. But every so often, a mutation will actually survive and the cell will reproduce. Imagine, for example, a bunch of identical E. coli cells that are living in a petri dish. With plenty of food and the right temperature, they can double every 20 minutes. That is, each E. coli cell can duplicate its DNA strand and split into two new cells in 20 minutes. Now, imagine that someone pours an antibiotic into the petri dish. Many antibiotics kill bacteria by gumming up one of the enzymes that the bacteria needs to live. For example, one common antibiotic gums up the enzyme process that builds the cell wall. Without the ability to add to the cell wall, the bacteria cannot reproduce, and eventually they die. When the antibiotic enters the dish, all of the bacteria should die. But imagine that, among the many millions of bacteria living in the dish, one of them acquires a mutation that makes its cell-wall-building enzyme different from the norm. Because of the difference, the antibiotic molecule does not attach properly to the enzyme, and therefore does not affect it. That one E. coli cell will survive, and since all of its neighbors are dead, it can reproduce and take over the petri dish. There is now a strain of E. coli that is immune to that particular antibiotic. In this example, you can see evolution at work. A random DNA mutation created an E. coli cell that is unique. The cell is unaffected by the antibiotic that kills all of its neighbors. This unique cell, in the environment of that petri dish, is able to survive. E. coli are about as simple as living organisms can get, and because they reproduce so rapidly you can actually see evolution's effects on a normal time scale. In the past several decades, many different types of bacteria have become immune to antibiotics. In a similar way, insects become immune to insecticides because they breed so quickly. For example, DDT-resistant mosquitoes evolved from normal mosquitoes. In most cases, evolution is a much slower process.

Please define what YOU mean by evolution: there is a HUGE amount of misunderstanding about what it is and what it is not. Evolution is very, very real even though a lot of people will say otherwise. Sooner or later though, the truth comes out. Evolution has some missing parts in its understandings, but science fiction it is not.

Evolution is FACT... You can debate man's evolution from apes, but evolution is fact!
We have seen bacteria evolve, micro-plankton, etc.... fossil records have shown thousands of examples.

Now everyone note the difference... believing in GOD does not negate evolution, simply changes your ideas on the starting point!
