Empires seem to only last a set amount of years on this planet. I feel that at some time the in future, the land we know as the United States of America will no longer be what it is today. But what i want to know is how much longer the US can go on being the most powerful nation in the world? Whether it be another nation conquering us, global problems (run out of natural resources, global warming), or total annihilation from another uncontrollable source.. how much longer do we have left?

In my opinion, move soon, or stay and help rebuild with whatever we will have left.

See the farm land being depleted? That willl lead to famine, if the government doesn't decide to enact a population control deal and kill all or most of the people.

It will probably crumble from within, just like Rome did.
History is very parallell to the USA

And if you don't think the USA has slaves, oh boy.
look out when the workers unite against the capitalists.

The Roman Empire was in decline for centuries. Hard to say. The biggest threat to the US is the debasement of our currency. If it's a slow decline, then the US could conceivably survive for quite a while. But if the currency collapses quickly, then we could see an end to our "Empire" pretty quickly.

We haven't been the most powerful nation for too long...only since WW II. So hopefully we'll last for awhile but with globalization and the eventual drying up of oil within a century and China making a huge impact on the economic market and terrorism who knows!

The United States is not an Empire. It's a democracy.

Break open a cool book called the Bible. It will give you some indicators.
Dynasties rise and dynasties fall. Corruption always precedes the fall. Read the news and it kind of makes you wonder, huh?

Unless we return to the Judea/Christian foundation on which we were founded and return to God and morality in our nation we are doomed. We are presently being self-destructive by abusing our freedom and making a god of political correctness.
