Rushmore is Wes Anderson's finest film. It exhibits more of his best, quirky style than the earlier Bottle Rocket, and is a brilliant exploration of all his most familiar themes - friendship, forgiveness, reconciliation. Despite the absurd, surreal world of his characters, I find it all truly believable, down-to-earth, human. I find it really moving how the characters reconcile their differences, despite the huge gaps between them in so many different ways - age, race, experience etc.

The Royal Tenenbaums is great, too, but perhaps he was trying a little too hard by then.

Can't wait to see what he does with Fantastic Mr Fox. Classic children's book, and so unlike what Anderson has done before.

surely, I choose Wes Anderson. I enjoyed there will be Blood from an inventive attitude, even though it did drag on after a whilst. i think of Wes Anderson is a greater storyteller universal. the two a variety of directors are slightly uneven imo. they have one or 2 super videos and something are mediocre (not that the two of them have directed many yet.) i think of human beings are overly serious of Wes Anderson- i'm getting that way too, yet then i will watch The Royal Tenenbaums and that i comprehend that i in my opinion do like his variety of filmmaking lots. Paul Thomas Anderson makes weightier video clips additionally, and that i choose comedy.
