Yes, I am sure you have heard all of the bad points. Why do women love to scare other women about how difficult labor is???That kind of fear isn't helpfuI! THE BEST THING ABOUT HAVING A BABY IS when the doctor lays the baby in your arms. I have never experienced anything like it! I was madly in love with my daughter from the second I held her. The joy is indescribable. Mind you, I was never a girl that babysat and dreamed of having children all my life, so my overwhelming joy was a surprise to me.
Some other helpful tips-
Please keep in mind when they show you the needle for the epidural only a short portion of that long needle is actually used in the procedure.
My mother always said- If labor was as bad as everyone said it was we would all be only children.

All the bad points? Like what? Yeah it's unbelievable when you hold your child for the first time, breast feed them, protect them, give them everything you have. I'm not "anti-child" I have three, but, you must think about later. It is never what it is in the beginning. My oldest is 17, my youngest 12. All that cute stuff fades quickly and what you have is your heart outside of your chest, walking around like it's nothing! To be a parent in the world we live in today....is nothing short of insanity. It is so unlike anything you have ever encountered. It can't be explained from one to another. You have to experience it. I love my children more than my own life, but, it should never be a light decision. I'm sorry you have heard all the "bad" points already. I don't think they were meant to be bad points, but "reality points".

the moment they are born and you get the satisfaction of immediataly falling in love with the baby you waited 9 mo to see. i am only 20 not ready for a baby but i got her and she changed everything those first few moments were well worth the wait. then when she started smiling at me it was great too even her daddy loves that. and you wont remember the pain so dont even worry about it. it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be i had no epidural just a pain shot my main complaing was my nauseau during labor it wasnt that bad. well worth it in the end

Recreating a little love. The love of your life that you want near you forever and to protect forever. Feelings that you never thought were possible. Being looked up to and looking down on a beautiful creation.
