My husband used to have the same problem, but has not had any problems with is feet in a year and a half. I got him these magnetic insole, because his feet hurt at the end of the day and I had heard they would help. Well they helped with much more than that. He used those foot powders, creams, and sprays everyday and never completely got rid of the athletes feet, but about 2 months of wearing the insole he noticed is wasn't using the other stuff any more and also his ingrown toe nails went away. I do not know if they would do the same for you, but what do have to lose. Just put a pair in your shoes and it's that easy. I am giving you a link to where you can buy them. The words Discover It and Live It are links, so use them.

Yes, actually, urine does work. In the military my brother was told to pee on his feet while in the shower every day. Wierd, but effective apparently if endorsed by the United States Army.
There are lots of over the counter treatments, but the importnat thing is to make it a habot to keep your feet dry and clean. If you don't want to get into all the commercial products, just change socks frequently, and maybe sprinkle some Gold Bond in your shoes from time to time.

Baby your foot. Athlete's foot can come on suddenly and be accompanied by cracked skin, oozing blisters, and an intermittent sensation, says Frederick Hass,M.D.,a general practitioner in San Rafael,California."when you are suffering through this acute stage, baby your foot.Keep it uncovered and at constant rest, even if you have to stay home from work or ignore your household duties to do so.Although the inflammation itself is not dangerous,it can worsen and lead to bacterial infection if you are not careful."

The most effective thing I have found for athletes foot is "Gold Bond." Not the powder. The one in the green container!

Yes, Athelete's foot can be treated by Tincture or a powder. Urine does not work on this fungus. Please see your family doctor.
Perhaps you are getting the treament of "getting stung by a jelly fish" with athelete's foot confused!
