Taylor Hicks just released his first post-idol album. It's not bad.
Also, just because someone wins American Idol doesn't mean they are really that good and can sell albums.

Clay Aiken is one of the best singer even he did not win the title.
Kelly and Carrie are very talented but with Ruben and Fantasia please give me a break-I still do not know how they win both of them are so average. Even Jennifer Hudson was better than Fantasia, she got the part at movie "dreamgirls" which Fantasia was rejected. Kelly and Carrie appeal more the fans as the girls next door when Fantasia came out with a big luggage as single mother and a person with learning disabilities.

Ruben and Fantasia have albums that just came out
Fantasia has a song out with Big Boi from OUTKAST that plays on the radio multiple times daily and she performed on the Tyra Banks show today.
What is Clay aiken doing?

Ruben took time off to lose 100 lbs and looks way better. Plus he just released a new album. Fantasia has a strange look to her-her hair or her teeth, but, she's still talented. I think Fantasia needs to glam up her image a bit more since she has to compete with the likes of Christina Aguilera and Beyonce, and the others who knows-but, Jennifer Hudson didn't win the competition and look at her-she's getting rave reviews in "Dreamgirls" and just got nominated for a Golden Globe. I don't think the idols are missing, I just think maybe Kelly, Carrie, and even Clay have better publicity machines. Who knows?

You mean gone missing like Jennifer Hudson, who's nominated for a Golden Globe this year? Who is being hailed as the best part of the movie "Dreamgirls"? She seems to be enjoying success at least equal to the others, and time will tell if it is moreso. . .
As far as Ruben and Fantasia, Fantasia's first album did quite well. She's just so unlikeable "I love God and I live life for God, just ask my illegitimate child." And Ruben, well, some people just don't hold up when they actually have to compete for recognition. It's hard to compete against guys like Justin Timberlake and Usher and not just fade into the second tier. That, and bad deals, makes many of those contestants just fade away.

ruben had some legal issues regarding his manager so he just came out with something and fantasia just released as well...its just that underwood had just won some awards recently and clay had all that drama with regis and kelly..and clarkson ...she was the first idol...so she gets alot of recognition....so that is probably why you havent heard much about ruben and fantasia...and fantasia so far sounds really good...she was on tyra yesterday

Hi, Kelly Pickler is also doing quite well. She has a new album out and a song called Red High Heels that is climbing the charts. She has been on The View, Ellen and other day time TV shows promoting the album and singing the song. I saw her today on Ellen and was very impressed with the song(which she wrote herself). As far as why do some do better than others, I think it depends a lot on who their manager or promoter is and how aggressive the promoter pushes for them.

Uhmm-what world have you been in? I take it you haven't heard Ruben's new joint "Change Me"...and he dropped 100 lbs, he looks hot!( did anyone else notice Bree from America's Next Top Model in the video?) Fantasia has a new song out that's played all the time on the radio and video is in heavy rotation on MTV, BET and VH1Soul.

ruben needs to lose weight and fantasia kinda needs to come back into reality. i think she's releasing an album soon though.
