I don't get whether you want the best or the most reasonable priced iPod.
The best is the 80 GB one (~$340)
But you can get an iPod shuffle for $80, which is a pretty good deal.

All the Ipods are good... I guess it's just a question of how much files you want to put in them so you'll know whether or not to get a Nano (4GB or 2GB), Video (80GB or 60GB) or one of those 30GB ones.
Prices are pretty much the same wherever you buy them. Take caution buying on Ebay though because sometimes the bidding goes really high and you end up paying more than you would if you bought it from the Apple Store.
