My best friend if bulimic. She told me, yet all she seems to worry about is this stupid guy hurting her. How can I convince her, that he is not the real problem?

I think comfort food has alot to do with emotions. Maybe thinking of the guy hurting her is triggering her to binge and purge...just a thought...maybe they are linked. But, I could be wrong...I would sit and talk to her and ask her more about how this guy is hurting her and then talk about her bulimia.

mabey show her some research that you can find online or bookstores and show her the psychologiacl reasons why and the physical problmes that will happen and if you try that and it persists i would contact more help from a councler of her family because you as a friend may be only able to do so much good luck :)

you need to sit down with her and tell her straight forward how you feel and that no one else if the fault fo her having this problem and she is the only one that can change that and you need to tell her that this is a serious situation and if she doesn't stop you need to tell her that you will tell someone that will do something about and that she needs help because she could die by doing this

You can't because when someone has an affliction like that, they honestly don't think anything's wrong. They need to get help but they have to WANT the help, also.

This is a huge issue, get in touch with her family. Make sure they know. Get her pamphlets on it and pray for her
