Well, hello there my darling, you're up and about early - just popped on to see what you'd been up to.
I think YA is a reflection of society in general. If you think about it, half the population have a below average IQ, and another 40% are only slightly above. I have never seen any place where that's more evident than here.
Also, factor in the habit people have of jumping on bandwagons ("Oh, no - Steve Irwin! I feel I have lost a friend.....") and then the insincere crap spouted by Americans, and you have an unholy mess of, yep, pig shite.
And that Incongru above me has just asked a question about aeroplane engines. What's the point of being intelligent (if he even is) if you are also the most boring person in the universe.
Listen, Crispy, me old mucker - you are without doubt one of the funniest, brightest people here. And since, according to my IQ, 98.5% of everyone I meet is thicker than I am, you should listen to ME. Not these w*ankers. OK?!

Some are and some aren't. I guess it depends which areas you go to and at what time of day or night. I find a particular favorite for the 'thick as pig shites' is either LGBT or religion and spirituality.

i must agree there are some people who think its funny to post....a less than intelligent question/answer.......ok me included on that score,but for the most part i find there are some thought provoking ideas put here,very informative answering on genuine ones.....but remember this is an open forum.....so everyone has a right to their say however strange!(if yahoo says so....lol)....you also have the right of veto on abuses in scoring (best answers and ticking the thumbs),which you can use personally when you feel its gone beyond.....i`ve had enought of them myself.....
