As many have said here the answer is NO! Cleaned coins lose their value and the coin actually can be damaged more. Coin collectors frown on cleaned coins. There is however an exception, most ancient coins have been cleaned, but usually by people that know what they are doing. Very valuable rare coins with problems, can be what is called, conserved, only by professionals that know what they are doing.

Chemicals such as Cilit Bang or even basic household chemicals such as bleach. However, personally if the coins are worth a lot and/ or mean a lot to you, I'd use Cilit bang as pure bleach might just reduce the colour of the coins slightly. Maybe Cilit Bang does the same..hmm.. Anyhow, hope this helped!

Absolutely not! Cleaned coins are worth much less than ones with their patina.

No, if you clean them, you will DE-valuate the true value. Do not touch them!!

You don't have to clean them, but you'll get more money if you do.
