Barrow, Alaska is the northernmost city in the U.S. However, any city located north of the Arctic Circle would have no sunlight starting at the winter equinox.

I spent 6 weeks in Nome, Alaska a few summers ago. The sun was shining high in the sky long past midnight. Barrow is closer to the tippy top of Alaska than Nome is. Nome, in fact, is just below the Arctic Circle.

North Pole City in Alaska...I don't know if they get much light during the winter but I doubt it
