Essentially, the "cure" turns out to be temporary. In the comics, Storm was the first X-man to be shot with the "cure gun," originally created by Forge. She too regained her powers. Thus, lowly Eric Lanksheir, will once again become Magneto.

I would have to agree with the previous poster. The X-Men have a great advantage with telepaths that can wipe out more than half of the DC team. Not to mention if Rogue has the powers of Ms.Marvel and gains Superman's the JLA would be utterly f*cked. Also any metal they'd be wearing or in their bodies could easily be manipulated by Magneto and he would tear up Red T like nobodies business.

i think that they do get their power back depending on what level of mutant they were before they got the injection...did you watch the very end of the movies past all the long credits? if you haven't you missed out! cuz there's a better scene than magneto moving the chess piece!

I think a the amount of syrum that was injected to him was too small to cure a mutant as powerful as Magneto.

Maybe he wore a Bulletproof or any thick clothes during their fight and when he was hit by beast with the injection, maybe he was just overacted so that he can save himself to prevent defeat to Xmen team. This is possible, so that he could build another bad army.. ü

I'm expecting to have Xmen 4 too.. ü

The cure must have been temporary as even rouge did lose her powers in some comics but didn't lose them forever or where would Gambit go. It;s essential that Gambit and Rouge come togather, and i was really angry that they didn't have him even in the third installment.
