Happy Gilmore was much better than Ace Ventura. The Bob Barker fight with Adam Sandler was hilarious.

Happy Gilmore. I like Jim Carrey; I think he has become a fine actor. But the dorkier he acts (as in Ace Venture), the less funny he seems to be to me (I needed to discover dorky Carrey when I was about 11 years old).

Both are funny. Happy Gilmore is a bit better because his character could probably be a real guy whereas no one is as nusto as Ace! LOL

Good Question ! Happy Gilmore is a comic classic ! Grama ,who used to dress up like Gene Simmons [from Kiss ] !just to cheer him up ! Priceless ! My favorite line; "if I went out dressed like that; id have to kick my own a - - !" (close enough) okay, im off to my "happy place" now .
