and our freedom so why do you dislike America? I understand, foreign policy, but don't we help a lot of countries? I think we give too much to other people myself. There are things I can't have because I don't have the money, if my gov't didn't give it away to countries that don't appreciate it I could have more.

that's cute, but I didn't hear anything about why you don't appreciate our money not even a thank you. Let's get real here; if we don't give money everyone is asking where are the Americans why don't they help.

people should have what they work for regardless of where they are from. And as for opportunities, they take them from us, we just don't work hard enough for them. It's a false idea that we as americans feel that if we gave to no one, we would have more. The goverment would never work like that.

And we nly tend to help countries where we can benifet somehow. I dont want like i hate america, but the fact is that we send troops where american intrest are at stake. too many countries are in need of food, water, meds, but we are in iraq, venezuela, and columbia where oil, political control and oil again are at stake.

In all truth I will tell you that I live a very comfortable life, but it is a life that I have worked hard for. I am 26 years old and I have everything I could ever want, house, cars, stuff. See I knew what I wanted so I went and did what I had to do to get it. I love what this country stands for, I just dont like what it is becoming.

I believe your viewpoint is biased, ethnocentric, and a little simplistic. First off why should we expect everyone to like us? What person, nation, or thing is universally liked? There is a not so vocal majority that do appreciate our nation and many (maybe not all) of its actions. Also I wouldn't confuse the idea of a nation with it's people-many foreigners have no problem with Americans as a whole. Second point, true we do help, but like has been said it's not out of blind altruism, but for some reason we constantly portray ourselves as selfless. Compound this with the fact that we assume the idea of being "world police." Noone likes their own local police, would you like the idea of being policed by another country? Third point, people travel all over the world for opportunities. There are Africans litterally dying to get into Europe, South Asians hope to get into Australia, and I've heard stories of Filipinos being smuggled into Japan. This brings me to the next point. In general we're pretty ethnocentric. Did you know that other nations give aid too? Did you know that many nations (even so called enemies) donated millions during hurricane Katrina? Most Americans don't. They also don't know that much of the aid we give is military, or that it is tied so that the money must be spent on American contracts. Fifth point, I don't know where you get the idea that the money would be given back to the taxpayers. If anything it would probably be pumped into defense, homeland security, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In conclusion, true we are disliked, but mostly because of our influence. France and Britain are also disliked to a lesser extent, but I think any supposed anti-american sentiment is proportional to our global influence.

Not that I agree, but this is how its always been in America. We have always helped people and thay have always despised us for it. DIplomacy helps politicians feel that they are really changing the world, when the truth is, they cant or wont even help the people that put them in office. And if you would take a look at the ways we help; wherever we use military might to help, we never leave. Vietnam is the only place I can think of that we fought a war and actually left. Everywhere else we still occupy. Especially if they have resources we can use to increase our riches.

Give some sort of example before you go on a self centered rant.
