It really blows my mind how people are so used to being sexist that they don't even recognize that they're doing it. What I mean is this: A girl can wear guy's clothes, borrow guy's jackets, and even act like a guy without being accused of being gay. A guy, on the other hand, can't imitate a girl (in a teasing way), hold their girlfriend's purse, or even be sensitive towards girls without being asked if they're gay. My friend (won't say his name) is always accused of being gay. But he's not; he just knows how to be sensitive towards girls, and knows he doesn't always have to act like a perverted twit. Because of this, everyone accuses him of being gay. Another friend of mine was helping me blow up balloons, and afterwards, he said that he was just tired because he'd been sucking in a lot of air. Instantly, someone goes, "WHOA! Is there something we need to know about you?"
It just annoys me how a guy can't do much lest their sexuality be questioned, yet a girl can do anything.

I'm not saying that everyone acts like this, but I've noticed that it constantly happens where I live. It's very frequent, and it drives me crazy. Even though I'm not a guy, I still get irritated by this "injustice" that is done to them, because a lot of guys at our school are afraid to be sensitive now, so it makes it hard to try and be friends, because they'll either act obnixious and annoying, stupid, or very perverted. Most of them are really nice, but act very different at school, and I know what it's like to try and change so others won't judge you.

And don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against Bisexuals, transsexuals, homosexuals, or anything. It really doesn't matter to me what sexuality you have, so please don't be offended.

And I'd greatly appreciate it if there are no racist responses. It's called proper upbringing. Thanks.

Yes, you've described the "double standard." Since women have lower status, it would be expected for them to try to get higher status by wearing men's clothing, but people think that it's really strange when men wear clothing of the lower-status group.

The first step in changing this is being who you are regardless. My sexuality is questioned by other males on occasion for the same reason. It doesn't bother me, as it's the girls I'm trying to impress, not the guys.
Girls love a guy confident enough to just plow through "accusations" of homosexuality. (I put "accusations" in quotes, cause the word tends to imply there is something bad about being gay)
When a guy says you're gay, answer with something along the lines of "Maybe I am, Maybe I'm not. Either way, I'd never sleep with you. Sorry to shatter your hopes and dreams like that."
The way I look at it is, the only reason a person should be asking my orientation is to find out if we match up.

Reminds me of that time one of my friends got on my case for buying feminine pads. I said to him "You're just jelouse I have a girlfriend to buy them for!"

SWEET OF YOU THAT YOU CARE:BUT
You are feeding the trolls here by asking this.
They have made their minds if you can call that minds to insult, harass and discriminate as often as they can.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS:
Ramo:report and move on:and give thumbs down.
Their question and they themselves will be kicked out.
To many react to Doris and Lulu.
Why bother:Ramo
Merry x-mas to you.
Greetings:Rob.xxx.

I agree, and you make very good points. Gender stereotype and discrimination hurts EVERYBODY. When you 'fight for gay rights' you fight for the rights of everybody. =)

Nobody wants to feel 'stuck' in a role...how limiting!
