I had this problem with my 2nd child......i would air his butt out several times a day, change his diaper ALOT more than usual and powdered the hell out of his ***. Lots o baths too helps. Try and keep the area free from moisture and air out as much as you humanly can.

It can take a long time for a diaper rash to go away. It could be that the baby has a yeast infection and no over the counter creams willl help the rash go away. If your baby has been on antibiotics recently then I would have the doctor look so they can prescribe you the appropriate cream. If the rash appears very red around the genitals and the borders of the rash are not striaght then it could be a yeast infection rash, and the baby would need some prescription nystatin or mycalog cream to help the rash. If the rash appears blistered at all you are going to need prescription strength antibiotic cream to clear it up. What I would do in the mean time while you are waiting to see your doctor is to put a huge amount of desitin cream on their bottom so that if they do poop when you clean them you are not even wiping their skin so you dont irritate it even more.

If diaper rash is white and pusy then you may have to take baby to doctor if not. It's not the diaper if baby is breastfed its what you ate and goes through baby's milk and when baby poops it out or pisses it out and stays in diaper for a while and bacteria grows in the diaper leading it to diaper rash. Put diaper rash cream, all diaper rash creams(my son's doctor said) are the same you just have to change as soon as possible, more often and I even tried leaving my son butt naked which helped alot. so maybe you can try that leave your daughter free. The more the skin is aired out and dry the better rash will be. It took his diaper rash to go away a little bit over two weeks also. So let baby air out butt and put cream that you already have don't get anymore creams. when you wash pat dry don't rub dry, and wash with cooler water instead of hot. just take it easy and listen to the doctor don't worry. Just do what you can do and harder too. always change even though if it's going to get you to buy more diapers. Good luck and try what I suggested because it helped my 8 month old son although I was so afraid he would pee and poop on bed. I only left him to air out right after a change for a few minutes and then I ut diaper on.

Well with the "explosive diapers" I am sure her heinie is very every sore. My Dr recommended when my son had a little diaper rash from teething that I use Lotramin (which is what men use for jock itch and athletes foot) Gross I know but it really works. If the baby has a yeast infection or even a fungus it will get rid of it. Also I had to switch to sensitive wipes ( I used to use the pampers brand but now I think the target brand is better) when this was going on and one last good tip is when its really red and sore try just patting her bottom with a cool rag. It made is a little better for my son. Good luck and I hope it gets better.

I had that problem with my son for a while, to the point where it bled. Try leaving your child with no diapers a couple of hours throughout the day; try this cream Sudocrem or children's polisporin and it might sound weird but yeast infection cream like Vagisil usually did the trick everytime.Really! I'm not kidding, you'll see. Also your child mayhave sensitive skin, make sure that the diapers are fragrance-free.
Good Luck

This might seem abit weird but try some bag balm. yes the stuff you use for cows.My daughter had a diaper rash that would not go away,we tried all kinds of cream and nothing would work untill we tried bag balm. If that don't work or if you don't wanna try it take your little girl to the docter.

It could be thrush, you can get the cream for a pharmacy. If it is thrush using a nappy/diaper rash cream will feed the infection making it worse. I had this trouble with my first baby, i thought it was nappy rash but it did go away and this is what the health nurse told me. Its handy to have some thrush (antifungal) cream in your nappy bag for times like this. If Baby gets it in its mouth and you are breast feeding you can get it in your nipples, this is the most painfull thing I have ever experienced. It only happened once, believe me!

Have you tried Boudreaux's Butt Paste? That worked awesome when my nephew had bad diaper rash. Don't use wipes cause that could make it worse use a warm wash cloth. If this doesn't work you may have to go to the doctor and get a prescription.
Hope this helps and best of luck with your little one.

well if you've tried diff. creams and they didn't work, then i would take her to the doc. she might have a yeast infection or be allergic to one of the creams you used. try changing her diet, that might help the 'explosive' diapers. but i would go to your doc. this one baby girl i babysat had a diaper rash so bad that she got sores on it, her mom took her to the doc and got a prescription for her. good luck

When my son was little, A & D ointment cleared up his diaper rash. I also founded out that my son was allergic to disposeable diapers and had to put cloth diapers on.
