Well, yeah...
1. Singapore is very very close to the equator and so it gets maximum sunshine all year round as the sun is facing it alot more as compared to countries with a temperate climate which do not get as much sun at certain times of the year. That's why Singapore doesn't have "seasons" like winter, spring, autumn. Instead it has summer all year round. The only time it doesn't get sun is at night. All this constant sunshine keeps it constantly heated ( too well heated).
(Also, even though it get tons of rain during the year end monsoon season plus the fact that Singapore is a tiny island and therefore should be "cooled" by the constant sea breezes)....
2. the big problem is the really high humidity. So you end up perspiring all the time. It is easier to survive in a country which has a drier and less humid climate even though the temperature might be the same as Singapore's ( for example - compare Singapore's weather with summer in Perth or Los Angeles).
The trick is too stay indoors in places with fans or airconditioning during the hot afternoons or just go out in the early mornings and nights. Also, drink lots of cold water. Locals often drink "cooling drinks" as well - eg barley, coconut water, lime juice, chinese herbal teas, fresh fruit juices, sugar cane juice etc to stay cool.
Hope that helps.

Everyone know that Singapore is a country near the equator, so it's hot all year, except the rainy season.

Of course NOT, Singapore never has winter before! This is because Singapore is very near to the equator, so it's sunshine & hot season all year round. It is unlikely and almost impossible to expect a winter in Singapore!!! But we do have colder weathers which occurs around Oct - Dec of every year.

1) We are on the line called the EQUATOR. Which means we are the closest to the Sun, hence we recieve more heat than the rest of the world.
2)High humidity as we are in the tropical region. Less easy for our perspiration to evaporate, so it cause us to feel sticky and warm.
3)Dec, hot? No, it is suppose to be the coolest month as the monsoon season nears.
