I certainly think prostitution should be made legal. If two adults consent to sex, whats wrong with one paying for the service willingly and knowingly. There is plenty of free sex out in the world with partners that r not screened for STD or HIV as legal prostitutes r required to be, if regulated. It`s no ones business if a man or woman wishes to pay for their pleasures. Most of all, not the business of govt. when they themselves r commiting greater crimes than prostitution.

Prostitution should not be legal. The argument that it is the only way some women can earn a living demeans all women. If legalized it should be regulated. If the hottest man alive was a prostitute, he would be the last man on earth.

Is it not 'legal' already? If it were seen as being such an evil thing would it not have been erradicated by the authorities? The authorities allow it to happen because they know the potential consequences of not having prostitution - increase in sexual assaults, rapes etc. That's why we have 'red light districts'.
I do believe they should be regulated for health and hygiene reasons AND to prevent what's happening in Ipswich right now (Five prostitutes murdered in 10 days).

If we were to legalize pristitution it would actually lesson diseases as countries with legal prostitution have learned, but it would also make it easier to offer other forms of employment to those who become prostitutes for lack of another way of surviving, and no, I personally would never go to a prostitute!

Absolutely not. Why would I want to be with a man whore. I have more self respect that than. And there are enough STDs to go around without this.
Do not think that legalizing prostitution will be a deterrent in rape crimes. Men who commit rape are committing acts of violence not sex.
