i totally agree that just because some stars "endorse" this so called religion.. it doesn't mean we should follow them as well.

and i also agree that it's a cult.

Famous stars can AFFORD to be involved.

L. Ron Hubbard, the science fiction writer and prophet of Scientology, has been quoted as saying: "Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion" http://lisatrust.freewinds.cx/scientology/hubbard.htm

The cult is mostly a high powered scam. It pays members 10% commissions, called FSM (Field Staff Member) commissions, on new recruits they bring in who take a course or get counseling, so Scientology members routinely try to "sell" Scientology to others.

The new members then, in turn, are required to pay vast amounts of money to the "church" in order to receive "auditing", courses, literature, take tests, retake tests, etc. Here is a run-down of all the costs involved with Scientology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_as_a_business#Costs

Here is testimony from a woman who had been involved in exposing Scientology and other cults for most of her adult life: http://www.clambake.org/archive/books/tsos/sos-19.html

Even more proof that Scientology is out for your money... here is Hubbard discussing turning Scientology into a "religion" for profit:

"I am not quite sure what we would call the place - probably not a clinic - but I am sure that it ought to be a company, independent of the HAS (the Hubbard Association of Scientologists) but fed by the HAS. We don't want a clinic. We want one in operation but not in name. Perhaps we could call it a Spiritual Guidance Center. Think up its name, will you. ... It is a problem of practical business. I await your reaction on the religion angle." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_controversy#L._Ron_Hubbard_and_starting_a_religion_for_money

Remember that most Movie & Other Starts Stars are flakes with no real personality. They act to take over a personality from a movie, play, book, etc. for a short period of time. If the Stars are all doing something, do the opposite. If not, you can end up flashing the world, like Paris, Lindsay and Britney.

If famous stars started jumping off cliffs would it be smart to follow?

I know enough about it to not want to know any more about it!

If Tom Cruise is what that religion breeds I don't need to say anything more!

I think Tom Cruise is positively daffy, and he is the perfect poster-child for Scientology.

It is a made up crock of B.S. full of nut cases....
As with every organized religion it is interpreted by each nut case to fit how they want it. Scientology just has a lot more RICH nut cases....

No way, I do not ever think someone should do something because a celebrity is doing it? I mean if they see something about it on the news and to them it honestly looks interesting then why not look into to it? But, otherwise no.

I examined it years ago, found it lacking any logic or reason and dismissed it. I never think about it unless someone brings it up.
