i believe when the saying merry christmas was started...that is just how the language was back then....call it what you will i just hope you have a good one....

honestly, i say happy christmas, and no one else in my family does. I just say it because it doesnt sounds better, but it kind of sounds more sincere in a way

Don't know, but I'm glad we got away from "Happy" for at least one holiday. Gives some variety. That's a good thing.
