that conservative guys seem to play tougher, more intense sports like football or basketball, while liberals like stupid, girly sports like tennis and figure skating? Not to mention more conservatives are into hunting and fishing, as opposed to opera and ballet (aren't almost all male ballet dancers pillow bitters?)
I think this is why the military is so conservative: they're REAL men. :D

I disagree Most liberals I now are avid hunters and fishermen. Play football and rugby . they also can't stand opera and ballet. most of the conservatives I have run across are a bunch of pansies As for the military I have been in the military and there are a Lot of liberals in it.

Uh, the military is so conservitive because they work for the government, and actually know how the system is set up. My husband and my brother-in-law are both conservative, my brother-in-law being more so. In high school my hubby was on the football and wrestling teams, while my B-I-L was captain of the golf team and chess club. I think sports are irrelevant.

Have you actually asked these football player etc whom they vote for or is it just an assumption??? As for the Military you have both republican and liberals. Yep the liberal men are dying in Iraq just like the republicans. When they are out there they are not Republicans or Democrats they are soliders.

That is a pretty interesting observation. I am conservative and fall under your description and I am in the military. I like football, basketball, and I love to hunt and fish. I do know a few conservatives that don't really fall under that category though. Generally you are probably right.
