Whenever I go shopping my feet are killing me by the end of the trip. Is anyone aware of cute, comfortable shoes that would be appropriate for 6+ hour shopping excursions?? I usually like to avoid tennis shoes when I'm not working out.

It depends on what I'm shopping for.. If it's myself and I'll be trying things on, the shoes have to slip on and off and if it's for a dress and I know I want to look around I bring a pair of heels with me...
Malls are concrete floors, wood with a concrete foundation, or carpeted with little to no padding... I used to work retail and even sneakers didn't help so here is my two cents on the subject...
I am most comfortable if my foot is not flat, so I look for a shoe that has somewhat of a heel... a shoe that has rubber helps "cushion" your foot and the impact from your foot striking hard floors all day..
the best shoes I have found that meet all the requirements I set are "Rockports" they come in attractive styles and are well made...
Another tip... if you are standing in line or even while browsing shift your weight from one foot to the other often, if there is a little ledge anywhere around put one foot on it, it really alleviates foot and leg pain...
When I have gone shopping with people I know are all day shoppers I have even taken a second pair of shoes with a slight variance in heel height ... don't know why, but it helps ...
Take small breaks often just to sit for a few minutes....
and there are lots of new inserts that help too, keep in mind it stretches your shoes , so take them with if you are buying new shoes to shop in and try them on with the inserts...
(Speaking of inserts... I didn't use these but my husband who does service repairs and is on his feet all day has used them... the "magnetic" inserts, I think the magnets increase blood flow or something, I've used a back support for an office chair that had magnets and know that helped too!)

The only other thing I can recommend is I "pre-shop" by browsing the internet so I have an idea who is carrying the items I am looking for so I don't need to go into every store, it also helps me get better deals and cuts down on returns...
P.S. Most of these tips were from my ob/gyn when I was pregnant and had to work on the concrete floors... they've worked for me for 17 years..lol)

I agree with the wedges. I always wear heels when I shop, and by the time I'm finished I can barely walk. I wore these cute cork wedges when I was on vacation, and even after several hours of walking around my feet were fine.

I wear shoes to match my outfit. This usally means heels which hurt my feet and leave me limping by the end of my shopping fun.

My feet are comfortable in high heels as long as the shoe is not pointed at the front so it does not crush my toes.

I use the shoes I usually wear.
You might want to invest in some skate shoes. They're exceptionally comfortable.

How about some cute wedges. They are much more comfortable than heels and will look cute with the outfits you are trying on.

slippers or flip flops. converse what the hell? if you are going to need to take off anything then taking off your socks and re-lacing is going to get really old really fast. don't wear stuff that is hard to take off when you go shopping
