An event, as described by D Rocker is something, (not a miracle) that just has an extremely low but not 0 probability of happening. A miracle would be just that a miracle having 0 probability.

I believe in miracles

No. Why should I?

A marine squad coming out of enemy territory alive - just means they were really well versed in evasion techniques, and/or that the enemies at that time had other things to do.

All miracles can be explained through stand alone complexes, where "multiple individuals do similar actions to form a seemingly large concerted action".

In the example of the marine squad, the enemies allowing/not noticing the marines to leave alive, along with the evasion techniques of the squad, can be seen from an observer's point of view, a miracle they made it out alive.

Therefore, I do not believe in miracles.

Yes. When the sun rises in the morning and the flowers bloom in the gardens, it is such a miracle. When it sets in the evening and when the moon came it is such a miracle. The design of nature is such a miracle no technology can even replace it.

well..if you belive of the existence of your GOD like Jesus then you will believe. really believe. Its about trusting your God that HE can really do that MIRACLE for your life or to someone else.its like doubting the negative views of man and fully depending on a waht your God will say.

being lucky "enough" is not the same as "miracles."i do believe.

a miracle is something that just has an extremely low but not 0 probability of happening. i mean if a doctor gives a guy a 1% chance to live, and he lives, itll be a miricle to him and his family, but if the doctors gave 100000 people a 1% chance to live and he was the only one that lived, its not reely a miricle, but a statistical anomoly.

Coincidences, not miracles.
If everything happens for a reason, then nothing is a miracle, merely unexplainable as yet.

Yes, otherwise I wouldn't be alive.

I was in an car accident and the parts of another car flew right towards my head. Miraculously, it hit the rubber part of the windshield. If it hadn't I would have been decapitated.
