Expecting something in return for volunteering your help is rude and lame. I would never expect anyone to pay me back for helping them. Seeing how much it has helped them and knowing I helped someone out of the goodness of my heart is thanks enough.

sometimes it just feels good that your helpin someone out that you dont really need anything in return besides the feeling you get. unless you see them like once a day or something then maybe i expect some help when i do ask for it.

I never ask for, nor do I expect anything in return... it's all about the fact you helped someone in need... the good feeling you get is payment enough...

Not possible to make sure. The "pass it on" philosophy works better for me.

You help someone out of the goodness of your heart, not to have them beholding to you.
