a minimum of 1 line of text. Can I further reduce each text window size to 0 line of display, and how? There are so many "set options" you can play with, I don't know if a set option exists for this, do you know? Thanks in advance!

Am not sure about if gvim allows reduction of each window text size to zero or not, but in case your objective is to better organize your gvim workspace see below.

In the newer versions of gvim there is a multi-tab option which you could use to unclutter your gvim workspace.
