I heard about it and petitioned against it before it was sneakily signed into law. It was called the REAL ID Act.

It's crap. It's another way for the government to keep tabs on every little thing we do. It's a total invasion of privacy, and it lends credence to the paranoid American perception other countries have of us.

When people realize they have to get one and pay for it (since the government hasn't figured out who is going to foot the bill yet, so of course, it'll be us taxpayers whether we wanted it or not), then you will start hearing about it.

Do you mean Social Security card? We have had a national ID for years now.

It is L O N G overdue.

It would go a long way in minimizing welfare fraud, illegal alien benefits and illegal aliens, period, voting fraud and identity theft.

Any logical, legal citizen who feels it is a violation of any sort of privacy had better burn their social security card, cut up all of their credit cards, close all of their bank accounts, rip up their driver's license, change their name and move to Zambonia.
