You should definitely call your doctor but since it is after hours they will tell you to go to the hospital to get checked out. Which isn't a bad idea EVER because it is better safe than sorry and it would put your mind at ease. It could be braxtin hicks practice contractions but if it is preterm labor you are far enough along that your baby should live. If you do have him/her early they will probably be in the hospital for a little while but at 33 weeks your baby should be fine, just in for precautionary reasons. I had my baby at 32 weeks from an abruption but my first 2 were natural and I went in to the hospital for braxtin hicks with both of them. It is easy to mix up especially if it is your first baby. But my baby at 32 weeks was in the hospital for 4 weeks just so he could gain weight and make sure that his lungs finished developing but he was good and I was 1 week earlier than you are right now. But you should know if you are in real labor, it would hurt. But regardless if you are in alot of pain or just hurting a little you should at least call the doctor. An expecting mom never has a bad or dumb question or reason to disturb a doctor after hours. You know your body and the mom always knows best, ALWAYS. Good luck and congrats.

I used to go through this and they may be braston hicks (spelling?) They are fake contractions. I found that I also got cramps when I didn't drink enough water. However, all put aside, you should consult with a doctor because only a person with a medical degree can assess you and the baby. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Ok, normal pregnancy is FORTY weeks for those who don't know. Call your OB, dear. It's probably just Braxton-Hicks (think of it as practice contractions), but if you EVER feel something isn't right, call your doc. No one knows what's going on better than you do, especially people who don't even know you (like on Yahoo). If there is a problem, they might be able to do something about it if you contact medical professionals in time.

I had false labor at 6 months that they gave me steroids to stop. My son was born at 31 weeks 5 days. Both were the result of complications earlier in my pregnancy. 33 weeks is too early, and it's better safe than sorry.

call your doctors office, there should be an answering service who will contact the on-call dr. if the cramps are mid to bad go straight to the hospital (i don't normally advise hospitals but you are farther along and regularly timed cramps maybe pre-term labor.) If you aren't going anywhere just yet definitely call the dr and sit/lay down. Good luck hope everything goes well.

You really should go to the hospital and have a check up, it could be the start of early labour pains . It doesn't have to be 9 months total- it 's possible. Be safe and go now to ensure proper treatment for you and your unborn child.Take care and best of luck.

Everything is stretching inside. Getting ready for the new arrival. If there is no blood then usually no worry. I know it is hard to not worry but welcome to the world of motherhood. You will never stop worrying about this child. If you have concerns contact your doctor or local health clinic.

This could be something called " braxton hicks' contractions. Does you tummy go hard when this happens? If so this is normal, your body is just getting ready .
