You can either give me good books or authors that I should check out. Remember I'm thirteen so I need books to suit my age.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman

Have you read C.S. Lewis' Series of "The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe"? There are 7 altogether in the Chronicles of Narnia.

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle is another great one. Also by the same author, Swiftly Tilting Planet

Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell

From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien (as well as the rest of the series of The Lord of the Rings)

Charlotte Sometimes by Penelope Farmer

The Neverending Story by Michael Ende and Ralph Manheim

The Once and Future King is a good one, but it might be a bit too much for you now...

Misty of Chincoteague series of books by Marguerite Henry and Wesley Denni

The Black Stallion by Walter Farley (which is also a series should you like it)

Of course, there are the classics such as:
Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
A Little Princess by by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery (another series)

Try the Young adult classics like Little Women&Good Wives and Eight Cousins&Rose In Bloom by Louisa May Alcott ; Daddy Long Legs by Jean Webster; Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgommery.
Even The Little House on the Prarie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder is a good read.

If classics aren't your thing, you can always try mild horror books like the Fear Street Series by R.L.Stine or even Goosebumps series. You should also try the Prowlers series by Christopher Golden.

If you enjoy murder mysteries you could try Mary Higgins Clark.

For Science fiction, i would reccomend the Belgariad series by David Eddings and The Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman. You can also try Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer.

You should also try The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot.

Another good author for teens is V.C.Andrews, although her books do contain more mature topics.

If you're still in doubt, i suggest checking out

Hope ya find the right book!

It depends on you and the sort of books you prefer.
If you're looking for classics you should definitely check out the Jane Austen novels (Pride and Prejudice is my personal favorite). There are so many great classic authors such as the Bronte sisters, Dickens and Victor Hugo are all good choices.
But if you're looking for something more "fun" and maybe "new"; you should probably try the Harry Potter series (if you haven't read it already). It's truly amazing,
It's really amazing and great that you're willing to read books.
Good luck! :)

hmm.. three years ago, i was reading, well, a lot. I'd recommend these:

*Sci-Fi: the Ender series and parallel series by Orson Scott Card
*Fantasy: The Chronicles of Narnia: C. S. Lewis (you're never too old for them!)
The Artemis Fowl books by E. Colfer, (I think that's the spelling)
Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan
His Dark Materials series (the Amber Spyglass, the Subtle Knife, the Golden Compass)
Witch Child by Celia Rees
Pirates by Celia Rees
*Mystery: JOAN LOWERY NIXON!!! She is a MUST! I love her.
* Christian-Romance: Janette Oke, Lori Wick
*more Realistic fiction: Scott O'Dell. I still love his works

Ok... Sorry that it's sort of a random collection of books, but they're one that I love to read, even now that I'm 16...!

Bonne Chance!
