Based on the statistics of NBA players this early into the NBA season, I would have to go for either the Suns' Shawn Marion or the Timberwolves Kevin Garnett.

Garnett and Marion are on the cusp (if they can keep this pace up for the whole year) to be only the fourth (and fifth) NBA players to average at least two steals and two blocks in a single season. The first two players to accomplish this feat were David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon. This was followed by Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace last season.

Shawn Marion's statistics are outstanding. The Matrix may have a weird shooting form but his game is nothing but spectacular with averages of 39 minutes, 52% from the field, 1 three point shot, 85% from the line, 9.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.1 steals, 1.7 blocks, and almost 20 points per game (19.9).

As for Garnett, you have a monster of a player who averages 38 minutes, almost 50% from the field (49.8%), 81.8% from the line, 12 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.6 steals, 2.0 blocks, and 21.5 points per game.

Hope this helps.
