because it got overheated with nothing in it. Is there any safe way to re-attach it? The pot would still be good otherwise.

If it is not weldable, such an adhesive may be too expensive to justify. The cheapest thing that may have any possibility would be the cold weld compound (Perhaps JB Weld or something similar) that works on high temps like exhaust manifolds. You can get little tubes of this stuff at your local automotive parts store. Good luck!

It is good for the garbage only. Time for a new saucepan.

Toss it & buy better quality cookware...
You should never let a coated non-stick pan heat with nothing in it it lets off fumes & if you have birds in your house it can kill them....
