To be honest, it may seem like the Senate has more power because they have the final authority to pass or reject bills and the power to confirm presidential appointees. It also has less members so the title of "Senator" is somewhat more revered. However the real brunt of legislative power lies in the House of reps. The house is the where all federal laws are born, and where the real lobbying and debating takes place. The senate has oft been described as the "saucer that cools the tea"...and its true. Most of the best ideas are created in the house, and the senate is mainly used as a control device (which translates to a place where they can play politics with eachother and get nothing done). Bottomline is...the house is where the biggest impact, foreign and domestic, is made.

Both may be equal in power but have control of different legislation... The HOR are respected as they are elected and revered (or not,) and have more central control of individual voters. The Senate can reject a bill, have control of foreign affairs, (and sometimes have them). However, with the bickering and the fighting in between, neither party supports the taxpayer. They are funded by big business, and do their bidding in the name of protecting the individual. Unfortunately, lately, the legislation passed in the last 15 years, have allowed loopholes and winds up a disadvantage for the middle and lower class living folk. The Democrats have recently raised more money from ultra-liberal billionaires and have become their puppets.
In the name of LIBERAL, some well educated people still believe the D's are the party of the poor. This is not only a mistake on their part, it's a shame they don't have the common sense to see through them. This has been the worst 6 years I've lived through, and it's going to be worse for our children. Apparently many educated people and control freak Billionaires have are having a go at destroying AMERICA in the name of "liberal". Just so as the terrorists are calling themselves MUSLIMS, liberals control freak billionaires are looking to make a huge profit by destroying America's economy.

It depends on what you mean by "more power."
To think of it in simple terms: The House of Representatives controls the money, the Senate controls hearings/confirmations/all around deabte
