with fart humor? They are girls, and they think it is just the funniest thing to fart loudly, joke about it with their friends. It offends me, and I think it offends their boyfriends too- they are so sick of it!

I think it's a matter that comes from sex-roles being a little bit reversed, a lot of girls choose to spend more time with guy-friends than fellow females, and it affects them...it's also a little bit hypocritical if you ask me.
We don't mind when teenage boys pull crap like that but a girl does and suddenly people are offended. Bodily function humor trancends all groups, my friends and I were like that as teenagers (we still laugh at it). They'll grow out of it, or at least learn when the time is appropriate so to speak.

They're adolescents. Apparently you don't remember correctly what you were like when you were an adolescent if you have to ask this question. Get over it. Seems like you're the one who's obsessed, not them. If their boyfriends really don't like it, then they'll stop doing it eventually. Chill.
