Merry Christmas to you!! You know? I have a Muslim friend who says he loves it when people say Merry Christmas to him. Because, he appreciates everyone's religion and knows that if someone wishes him a Merry Christmas, that its a way for them to express that they care about him. He said its much worse when people are avoiding him because they don't know what to say. We had a great chat about it all, and when he wished me a Happy Ramadan, I knew what he meant!! He was wishing me well in his own way and it did make me feel good even tho I'm a Christian. Makes sense huh!!! So Merry Christmas to all and to anyone who wishes me a Happy Anything I say thanks!!! OH and PS he said that we're all so worried about offending people we don't even realize how LITTLE we actually do.

Well, for one there is a difference between "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays".
Both are said in kindness, meant to wish someone well during the same time of year. It may seem like no big deal, but it is.
Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Enough said.
Happy Holidays takes away the connection between Christ and Christmas. But in all reality, if you just mean well and WANT that is the key here, WANT to wish someone well during Christmas, then it is no big deal which you use.
You shouldn't tell someone either unless you want to and mean it, not out of habbit.
So, Merry Christmas to you and yours.

No, its not a big deal. I have a shirt that says "Merry Christmas" (please don't arrest me)"
I LOVE IT!
I am not offended when people say Happy Hanukkah or anything like that.
People need to get over it.. CHRISTmas is coming up and I will continue to say Merry Christmas.

I don't think so. If people don't want to hear it then they don't have to listen. What ever happened to freedom of speech and religion. This is America and we can do what ever we want. So Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. Keep it old school.

It's not real. ppl are just finding something to complain about. the word christmas is actualy a shorter version of Christ Mass, which is a mass gathering to worship a certain someone (no offense). thats y others take it so hard. Im not religous, but I also have no problem with religion, and am always glad and open to talk about it. Peace to all

Not to me. Merry Christmas to you and yours! And I'm sure that the majority of the minority are not offfended by yuletide wishings and offerings of goodwill. The others are ACLU lawyers.

Do you know what merry christmas means, it literally means merry death of Christ. It is a catholic term, given to mock the Jesus Christ who is risen. The holiday itself is the winter solstice celebration of the death and resurrection of the sun god Baal. So if your pagan and want to practice witchcraft, then it doesnt really matter what you say, because Christmas is not Christian and never will be so say what you want, if you dont care about the judgement of God. Jeremiah 10:1
