The Sims deluxe edition for PC, need help!?

Been playing and now when I call a friend, I invite over and the say they are coming but never show up? How can I get them to come over? I am losing friends fast. I had a problem with people showing up and not leaving, one died, so I did the move_objects to get them off the property.

Call and talk to them... then at least you wouldn't lose them as a friend. Click the "Say Goodbye" option to make them leave...
