I'm not sure there is any actual "secret" to success but there are definately some contributing factors. I think once you have found something that you are not only good at, but enjoy doing, then find a way to turn that passion into an income, you are well on your way to success. Your success would then become both professional as well as personal because you are doing what you love. How many people truly love what they do for a living?
Another factor would be to always be open to learning. Those with the "I know" attitude, are usually the ones who have the least and are the most discontent. Always pay attention to the type of person you would like to be and one day you will be like them. Whatever type of person you model yourself after, is what you will become. So always pay attention and take heed from the people that are where you want to be.

How do you measure success my friend?
This is a question that I have always been asking myself and I came to the following conclusion:
Success =
a level of social status
achievement of a objective/goal
the opposite of failure
But on the other hand success for one could be failure for the others. The others being, people, disadvantaged through the devious plans of shallow, dissocial, greedy, unethical and immoral so-called "business men" ! LMAO
What I am trying to say is, it is great to have the goal in life to be successful in one's profession and private life and I am sure that this is the goal of many million people on this planet, but as far as I am concerned...NOT at any cost. I bet you are wondering what I am rambling about huh? Here goes..i will try to explain:
- Honesty is the best policy: you may not get rich, but you will be successful in that, that you have not let yourself down to achieve something !
- Always follow your values, the values you automatically took over from your parents...are they always your values too?
- The "gut" feelings you get, are your instincts talking to you!
- Never be tempted to put aside your ethics and morals to make a gain of any sort. (A blot on your record is like a puncture on your Harley!)
- Keep your goal (s) clearly defined in front of you, and do not go off course, however long it takes to remain on track!
- Retain a healthy diet!
- Sport on a regular basis
- Your wife/gf is very important too, no harmonie at home causes a negative influence on one's performance.(LOL)! A happy spouse is a full house (in life poker) or a six in lottery.
- Remain determined, not obstinate!
I do not think that there is only one secret to success, but a combination of many. A few I have mentioned above.
Just a few of my own thoughts..hope they help a bit!
Cheers..Merry Xmas!

Never stress the little stuff, money, things you cannot change or at least today. Like where you work, and don't live where in or at a place that makes you unhappy. Enjoy the simple pleasures around you, children, nature and last of all keep your karma credit card clean. All will become success after.

To laugh often. To win the affection of children. To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betryal of false friends. To appreciate beauty. To find the best in others. To leave the world a bit better. Whether by a healthy child. A garden patch...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

Finding a career you love doing because you love the task itself . . . not the potential $$, nor fame or status .
You want to get up each day & go to work because you really like the work . . . (which ironically, often results in financial success or status as a side effect)

To achieve what you want and be fulfilled and happy in the process.
Find that special someone to share your life with.
And lastly, you can help others find their voice along the way.
Your greatness will liberate others.

That would be relevant because it differs from person to person. My observation is that most people never find out that secret.
