Animal Crossing Wild World moving?

So, I got a DS lite a while back. Before then, I'd been playing on my brother's DS. I just tried to get on Wi-Fi the other day, and it wouldn't let me. Do I need to do something to configure my game to my new DS? I tried doing what the gaurd prompted me to do, but it didn't work for some reason.

Before you can talk to the guard and do that, you'll need to configure the WiFi settings on the DS, so that it can find the connection. There are details in the instruction manual if you still have it, that walk you through the whole thing.
