It's not really a best as far as it's a best for you. It's like grown-ups and regular food, some people just can't stomach certain foods or just don't like them. You'll probably have to shop around a little bit to find what works the best. Ask your peditrician what they recommend to start with. They probably have free samples they can give you and it will give you a chance to see what you think.

Frankly, unless you have a baby with special nutritional needs, I think Similac and Enfamil are overrated. I compared labels and found that the Parent's Choice with DHA and ARA has exactly the same nutritional values and has only a few differences as far as ingredients. It costs almost half as much even as Nestle Goodstart which is far cheaper than Enfamil. We've been using it and my son is healthy and happy.

My son had a hard time digesting every formula I tried (even the expensive $11 a can kind). I finally used Good Start and the spitting up was over. Good luck!

My daughter was in the hospital and I was told that I could not breastfeed anymore and they said that similac advance with omega 3 and omega 6 is the best formula.

honestly..when my baby was born, i went for the higher priced stuff..and then i tried the Carnation good start with comfort proteins. But it didn't work for my little one...it constipated her really bad. Finally after many attempts with different brands, i found Enfamil Low Iron worked the best. We have been using it for 6 moths now, problem free. It really depends on your baby..but they are all very much the same and will keep your baby healthy...

Also, contrary to many beliefs, your baby has enough iron from you for about 6 months...after that once you start with the baby cereal, they start getting more...so Low Iron is okay

Talk to your baby's doctor. Some babies need special formulas. The most important thing is that they have the right ammounts of iron. Sometimes you will have to switch around to find the one that is best for baby's tummy.

My babys doctor said that Similac Advance is the best out there. and none of my kids disagreed. If you have to switch to soy there is similac Isomil Advance. I would never try a different kind. Good luck!

I use Costco's Kirkland brand because they guarantee it, it's very inexpensive and they say their products are comparible to the best on the market. My baby seems to be glowing, healthy, happy and full from it! (Breastfeeding is the best but if you're like me and get preggo and dry up that is no longer an option:(!...)
