I hate Dell. I've had too many problems with my recent laptops. Mac cannot run the applications I will need, so I can't go with them either.

Any suggestions for good customer service will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I had a Compaq, which I guess they're now called HP since they were bought out by that company. Those computers (3) were pretty bad. I finally learned my lesson about not buying that brand again. PLUS I dated a guy that worked for HP and he was a jerk to me later. So, I'm definitely not buying a HP.

HP- Thier computer has the operating system on the hard drive. This allow the computer to easily fix itself with repair feature built in to it. Like HP Recovery+ Recover your computer to factory setting. Application Recovery fix all most any Program that come on the computer when you got it with out affecting anything else. And of corse it come with Microsoft Restore which can turn you computer back in time without losing files and folder in your document. And all you need is to back it up with some CD when you get it and you can at least reinstall any time the hard drive might go out. But alway backup your files and folder if they are memories....Gagaman7 is that CARMEN?

HP all the way.

When you are ready to buy a new system, go to www.stupidcheapcomputers.net. I buy all of my stuff from them, and everything is Vista ready.

Microsoft is about to release its latest operating system, Vista, in January. It’s going to make all of these “bargain” computers nothing but JUNK as soon as it’s released. The reason that you are seeing so many cheap systems on the market right now is because a lot of them CAN’T RUN Vista and the merchants are trying to dump them as hard and fast as they can before Vista shows up and everyone learns what a piece of crap they were sold for $500 (or whatever).

Anyway, I bought a complete, new system from stupidcheapcomputers.net with a warranty for LESS than it would cost me to build it myself or order a custom one from the manufacturer. You can use my frequent buyer code: ATX926. That will get an additional 10% discount at checkout.

I have NEVER had any problems with anything that they have sold me and their customer service is outstanding. Those guys blow my mind.

Good luck!

Dell XPS laptops. They don't make the absolute best computer, but in my opinion their customer service can't be beat. They do put together a real nice computer that is easily upgradeable too.

Actually, Macs can run the applications you need. All you have to do is install Windows on it, either via Boot Camp or a virtual machine like Parallels Desktop. Windows (and anything running on it) won't be supported by Apple, of course, but the computer itself and any OS X-related stuff will be.

HP. None of the nightmares typically associated with Dell support.
