I am putting mini lights on a large diorama (1/24 scale). I am just using about 25 to 30 lights. They will work fine for about 45 minutes, then they will blow fuse or bulbs or both. Is there something I can buy (maybe surge protecter) or other device to keep them burning? Some of you railroaders out there might know. If you can't help, just thank me for your 2 points and go on ok?

how many lights are on the string you are using? They do sell them in 25-40 count for the mini lights. MAybe you should look for one of those and try that out. IF not, go ahead and try the surge protector. It's worth a shot. Good luck and Happy Holidays!

I don't really know since they should work for a much longer time, but when you said you "cut off" just what you need, could that be causing some kind of problem?

Maybe you should say something about model railroads or miniature makers in your title to get good answers?
