time taken to drink milk?

my 7 week old son takes 40 mins (sometimes 90 mins) to finish 4 oz of milk. Is this okay?

In how much time does a baby normally finishes 4 oz of milk? Any tips on how to make him drink faster. I have already switched to level 2 nipple.

Well, considering that they want breastfeeding moms to nurse for at least 20 minutes per side, I think your little guy is right in line. As long as he's gaining weight, I think you're okay. And it's probably good that he takes a little longer. When babies eat too fast, they sometimes get gassy or spit a lot of their food back up. As he gets older, he'll eat faster. My 7 month old takes about 5 minutes to finish 8 ounces.
