I have a Nokia 6280 and I tried to pair with my daughters phone last night. It found her phone and tried to pair with it, then it asked me for a password? I looked through the Nokia handset book and I cant find a thing. Page 60 of the handbook says "enter the password and you will only be asked this once"???? does anyone know what this means or maybe what the password might be?

It's probably asking you to choose a password. Most bluetooth devices ask a password (of your choice) from the device sending the request, then it asks the same password to the device receiving the request. I'd try typing 0000 and then the same when it prompts your daughter on her phone.

Call the company so that you are not locked out of the phone. Usually the password for new phones are 0000 or 1234 it is different for different ones, but call first because if it says that it might lock you out if you don't put in the right one.

this password is for bluetooth only.. u can give any password e.g. '0' and after that the other bluetooth handset will ask for password as u make its bluetooth on. So give the same i.e.'0' in dat handset.. it will work.. go on..

when you pair bluetooth you have to enter the same password on both devices, then the two devices will recognise each other.
