I am 24 years old and a recent college graduate...I currently live in los angeles...would there be any culture shock for me? Are there good job prospects? Are there fun bars, and good resturants. What is the coolest neighborhood to live in that is close to or in downtown.

Peace...

It wouldn't be too much of a shock. Although, Texans are a little bit different than what you might be used to...
The traffic in Austin is a NIGHTMARE, so there wouldn't be much change from LA, right? :) There are many many things for college students and recent college graduates to do because that is where the university is located. Lots of bars and restaraunts! And Austin has got some AMAZING musical talent brewing!

If you're from LA you will probably hate it. Big difference. I lived in both places I know. People in Austin won't care about all the things you make a big deal of in LA. If you aren't honestly friendly and mellow you will think everyone in Texas is crazy. Housing is skyrocketing and the job market is not great for most professions.

PHY - the people in LA and NYC forget about that whole "rest of America" thing. And trust me, LA is not like the rest of America!

YES Austin is a first-rate position to reside however there's a first-rate little the town that i reside in round new Braunfels. It is known as McQueeney. It is a first-rate little the town with a lake that we name Lake McQueeney. So in case you desire a extra peaceable the town McQueeny . If you desire the extra City lifestyles then Austin or San Antonio or Houston is how to pass.
