Hello Friend!
We should not cut trees unnecessarily. Trees play a major role in giving rain. They take in CO2 and give out O2 which is necessary for human beings and animals.
Everyone must plant a tree in their home.
We must make a green world so that our future generation can live happily.

Forest trespass for fuel and fodder by the poor villagers adjacent to forests have to be stopped by providing alternate means for cheap fuel and fodder that are in short supply. The schemes like subsidising solar cookers, gobar gas plants etc had not reached the poor who ccould not bear their portion of cost. Supply of smokeless chulahs that consume less fuel and give greater heat energy without the smoke nuisance was a good scheme but did not take off to expected levels. The energy problem continues to be formidable without workable alternatives.

Besides the growing needs of society to acquire more and more lands for its industrial and civic needs when the available unused landscape had tremendously dwindled, causes the conversion of cultivable lands and forest areas for other land uses, in increasing measure. The Govt should see that for every bit of fertile land or forest land so converted, corresponding area in some other part of the village is afforested. The public sector organisation at Neyveli (Lignite Corporation) in Tamilnadu has set a good example in this direction. This practice should be emulated by other organisations too.

But the greatest challenge is the deliberate misuse of forest assets by the influential section of affluent society with the support of corrupt officials and politicians. There seems to be no solution in sight for this malady since the quality of emerging leadership at all levels - village to national - is appallingly lacking in distant vision and are obcessed with short time benefits!

I'm not quite sure I understand your question..
but I'll pretend like you are referring to deforestation in the amazon rainforest =]

Brazil is a developing country..said to be the next big power-- Why, you may ask-

Not only is Brazil free of foreign oil, (meaning they don't get oil from other countries and aren't raped on the prices- Which the U.S. hasn't even done yet.), but they also have the rainforest up for opening.

If they were to open up the rainforest, their economy would grow like crazy-- They have the chance of striking rich by finding oil, supplying more land with nutritious soil for farmers, harvesting the fruits/vegetables/whatever in the rainforest, experimenting with plants that may hold a cure for cancer(as they have already found medicines to cure many diseases in the rainforest), and let's not forget the Fish bone effect. (Draw a fish bone-- you'll see from the one spinal bone spurts many other bones-- that is to symbolize roads-- once they put one road through there, they are going to have to add and add and add..hotels, restaurants, houses, gas stations, stores, etc.)

HOWEVER- If we were to cut down the rainforest the overall amount of CO2 in our atmosphere would increase heftily, we would lose millions of species, many of which have yet to be discovered, and the nutrition in the soil that is produced by the trees would then no longer exist. (After the slash and burn process the nutrients are suppose to settle back in the soil, but it being the RAIN forest, it would merely wash away the nutrients.)

A solution?
Who the **** knows.

They could probably cut half down-- (NOT SLASH AND BURN), wait 20 years (that's how long it takes to restore), and cut the other half, go back and forth like a cycle.

With that though theres still the risk of losing animals, and an increase in temperatures over their land.

At the very first place if you meant steps to stop deforestation, then planting of saplings in the place of trees cut down.A public awareness on this issue which can bring out the desired effect only if everyone cared.
