Your just being there is a big help in itself. Just continue to be there for them, and perhaps one day you will be needing the favour returned. Their is nothing worse than to face misery all alone. You sound like a caring person for even trying to help.

sometimes they say love is more than an emotion, its a state of mind.
so i think love is a sick joke, and the combination of things that happened and failed to happen leaves me more cynical than before. ultimately, one has to walk alone in this journey called life.
