i put the computer in stand by mode, but when i shake the mouse, nothing happens, I press all the buttons on the keyboard, i even press the power button again, but it just doesn't want to come out of the stan dbye mode, can someone please help me out on this

Sandby mode in Windows is famous for not working right.
I just leave my computer on 24 hours a day 7 days a week without shutting it down or putting it in standby mode.
Standby mode gives most people problems.

i've not heard anything good about standby or sleep modes, your pc will auto power down if your away, if you disable standby or sleep modes. you along with most people have programs that want to run and will conflict with windows. also disable screen savers if you have to use standby.
