Right with both of my children, I was given the sex of my son at 15 weeks & it was right!

Oh you may want to add & ask how long ago they had their children as ultrasounds are much more accurate with each passing year or two. Mine were 2 & 4 years ago.

They were right on mine. They said boy and I got a boy. But it was pretty darn obvious that he was a boy from the ultrasound. A friend from work was told she was getting a girl and got a boy. I heard that it's easier for them to mistakenly tell you it's a girl than to mistakenly tell you it's a boy. On boys, they are looking for what my ultrasound tech called "the turtle". Basically, they are looking for a penis and if it's there, they are pretty sure they have a boy. For girls it's harder. She has to be positioned just right and even then, all they can see are the 3 openings between her legs. They usually just try to prove that it's not a boy. Many times, they can't find the penis in any direction so they assume it's a girl. But they penis could just be tucked between his legs.

I have a six month old girl and the first time they did the ultrasound she wouldn't shift for the tech to see, but she made a guess that she was pretty sure it was a girl. The second time it was plain as day that it was a girl. And she was 100%!!!

Usually depends on the doctor that you see. If he or she has a good record of predicting the sex then you can depend on that doctor. But like my cousin she was placed with a new doctor on her third child which was suppose have been a girl. Wrong the third child was another boy. What I'm trying to say is to get a dependable doctor with a good reputation.

With my son, my niece, myself, my 2 siblings, my boyfriend and 2 of his sisters, they were right.

With the youngest of my boyfriend's sisters, they were wrong.

Ultrasounds are so good now that they very seldom make a mistake. I think I read somewhere that out of all the mistakes, it was more common to say boy when it was really a girl, but I don't know how true that is.

I have one boy and yes they were right. They had a hard time getting a good picture of that area, so in the beginning I think they just kind-of guessed but they were right.
