i went through the same thing...when i first got pregnant i told myself i was going to stop drinking soda all together (i could drink a couple cans a day)....but when i had my morning sickness it seemed that coca cola was the ONLY thing that made my stomach feel better!!!

they say you can have up to 6 cans of soda a day....i know that seems like a lot of caffiene, so i would stick to 1 maybe 2 if you have to.....they also say if you have a craving for something sweet like soda try something like juice or a flavored water instead....caffiene free sodas are ok as well ( i started liking root beer a lot!)

but trust me, i am almost 39 weeks pregnant and have started to have a craving for WATER....which is a good thing, but totally unexpected!!!!

good luck with your pregnancy!

Caffeine in small doses is okay, no more than 8 oz(which is one can). But, caffeine can cross the placenta and the jury is still out on it's effects. Try and indulge with some caffeine free sodas like 7-up, but don't make it a habit because they contain nothing that helps your baby grow, which is primarily why they say it's bad.

Pretty bad in large amounts. You are craving sugar. Try eating natural sugars like apples, other fruits, stuff like that.

It makes your body very acidic- and to counteract that calcium is pulled from the bones- not a good thing- eating something sweet like fruit might help-like apples- oranges- peaches = any like that-Congrats!!-D
