I assume you meant to type

2(u^6)(w^6)(y^6) and 4(u^7)(y^7)

Steps to solve this:
(1) Find the LCM of your numbers, 2 and 4. The answer is 4.
(2) For your variables u, w, and y, determine which of the two expressions has the higher power. Notice that the first expression has u^6 and the second expression has u^7. Therefore, the LCM of u^6 and u^7 would be u^7.

Repeat this for w; which expression has the higher power of w? Notice that is doesn't even exist in the second expression; therefore, the LCM for the w terms would be w^6.

Now, let's try this for y. We're comparing y^6 and y^7, and you choose the higher power, y^7.

Combine these facts:
4 <---- comes from the LCM of 2 and 4
u^7 <----- comes from the LCM of u^6 and u^7
w^6 <----- comes from the LCM of w^6 and nothing.
y^7 <----- comes from the LCM of y^6 and y^7

Hopefully you can understand it better now. Good luck in your studies.
