Basic maintenance can be done first by using it well and reducing wear and tear - drive in the proper gear, wait for your engine to warm up before you drive, and go slow over the bad roads.
Drain and Change engine oil and replace fuel filters every 4500kms and top up transmission oil every 10000km.
But seriously, if you want to maintain your car well, you should take it to a service station.

A few things that cars repeatedly require r
1 clean air filter
2 top up / change oils
3 coolant level
4 tuning
5 carburretor cleaning
6 distributor point adjustment & cleaning
7 oiling of accelerator & clutch cables
8 inspection of fuel lines
9 battery water levels
10 tightening of nuts & bolts
11 belt tension adjustment
12 lubrication of door hinges
I feel this is the maximum that u can do urself for ur vehicle
For anything over & above this u will have to visit ur mechanic.

First of all when you start your vehicle always see your dashboard lights .all lights are in off position when you driving engine oil light, alternator lights ,brake oil lights etc second main thing is that always a side view of your temp gauge meter after few kms when you drive .it should be in half position .not in hot or not in cold .if temp goes to high position than some problem in you vehicle check it. For maintence best periodic service you can do at about five to seven thousand kms . change veahicle engine oil, air filter, spark plugs and check the cables of spark plug and battery cables connector etc .and one more interesting thing go bottom of your vehicle and see some oil coolant or anything abnormal thing .that's the best thi ng you do without going to service center. Thanks

well, if you dnt drive the vehicle, you dnt need to service it.
jokes apart, i would believe that listening to your vehicle, knowing in advance when you need a particular part needs to be changed, preventive maintenance, and regular and prompt servicing, oil changes, washing etc would ensure minimum visits to the service center.
