im moving to a new town, new house, new school next month, and Im really scared of what people will think of me! who has any advice on how to make new friends?

Be you. You seem like you would be a sweet person. Friends like you becuase of the way you are, not because of how you approach them and what you say. Be yourself and let the friends come to you. Ive moved over 5 times and i keep to myslef for a while and then people begin to talk to me and soon i realise who i want to be my friend. I hope its that easy for you. Good luck!

How exciting to be moving somewhere new! Make sure you are friendly and smile a lot. Since you're still in school... be sure to join a sports team or a club, that way you can meet lots of new people who share your interests. Really, that's all it takes. There is a saying, "Best way to make friends is to be a friend." My other advice to you is not to worry about what others think about you. All that will do is make you shy away from making friends. Make new friends the same way you made the old ones. What worked before should work the next time.

try not think about it so much. when your nervous or scared you put out that vibe. go in there head strong like you are happy and fine with everything. dont be shy, TALK TO PEOPLE. let them know your a confident, social person, people will open up to you. (that was my problem in school, i was always so damned nervous and scared, i never made any friends!)

don't care about what others have to say open up and get to meet others ask question about the town tell others that your new in town and you want to know about the town and you want to get to know others so they can help you around the town

have self confidance . this is very important dont be scared. try to be cool and impress other people. talk with them...see who are good students be in their company. dont go in a bad company in any way ...

make new friends have the same hobbies is better, slow but sure, you will have right ones, nothing to be scared, just be honest and friendly you will lots of friends around you, no rush, it will come naturally
